Does anyone know how long it will take Duke Energy to connect me to the grid?

My system has been installed for over a month and it's still not connected to the grid. Duke energy seems to be stalling the project and I can't even get an estimate on how long the connection process takes.

Sorry you're experiencing a longer than desired lag time with the interconnection process. In general, utility companies can take a couple of weeks after installation to interconnect you to the grid and in some markets, this can also take a several months. Throughout the country, this has been an ongoing issue. Until utility companies can find a quicker and more efficient process to interconnect solar systems to the grid, we will continue to hear of how slow the process can take.

Our advice, please be patient and check in with the installer periodically. Ask them to engage with the utility company on your behalf and see if there's a timeframe with when this can actually happen. The installer you're working with wants to connect your solar system to the grid just as bad as you do.

Hope this helps! Congrats for going solar :)
