Which Solar Panel Do I Need?

Having just bought a Bessacarr e495 I want a solar panel fitted asap. I haven't got the time to think about doing it myself within the next few weeks so I'm going to ask some technicians. But which panel is right? And how much do they cost? 90w or 120w seem to be common. I imagine it's a case of the bigger the better although weight is an issue. There's only one leisure battery so I'm guessing I ought to but another. Any advice appreciated.

This sounds like a really cool project! We strongly suggest that you get a professional to make the installation for you since putting a solar energy system on a car is an unusual project. Integrating the panels into the infrastructure of the car will be difficult to do properly and safely. EnergySage has a large network of vetted installers, you might be able to find someone who could help you with this unique project!

The first thing to think about for sizing any solar project is how much power you use currently. Once you have a number for how much power you use annually, you'll know how much power you need to produce annually. Then, with the advice of an installer with experience in this area, you can choose a panel that will produce the energy you'll need given where you are in the country.

Good luck! Keep us posted on how it goes! We'd love to see pictures!
